Sunset over Oia, Santorini

I know you guys don’t read what I write, you just watch my amateur photography tries but small part of me does that to help some other photographers make their work easier.

What do you mean?
Every photographer is doing some research before they start shooting, this process is called scouting and by my helping other photographers I meant at least showing them where the best spots around the island are. In other words do the scout instead.

WTF are you talking about? There are only 30people who follows you!
True but there are already two very famous photographers who recently added me to their circles.+Mike Shaw is one of them. He is a great landscape/portrait photographer and I haven’t ever thought that such a remarkable person like him can possibly add me into his circles. The other one is +Elia Locardi the best HDR photographer ever. I don’t have to say more, just check his profile/website (http://blamethemonkey.com/).

Little info about the picture taken

This photo was taken from the Kastro (Castle) area where most of the people go to enjoy the famous sunset in Oia, Santorini and literally I was surrounded by 5/600 people. It was so hard to find a spot for shooting.

Canon EOS 7D, Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM,
10mm, 1/20 (main-shot), f/11, ISO 100, 7 exposures

Workflow

For a first time I didn’t use any external plug-in help/support. The only software I used to create this image was Photomatix Pro 4.01 and lots of Photoshop CS5.1 masking.
